The Mountaineers will host their final meet of the season on Friday, Feb. 18 as teams will come to Mountaineer Field House to compete in the Western Colorado Alumni Open.

  • accomplished a similar feat in the women’s pole vault, clearing a height of 3.67m (12-00.5) – that is a new personal best for Smith and keeps her at fourth all-time. This is the third straight week that a women’s pole vaulter recorded a personal best mark.
  • The Mountaineers had two more impressive accomplishments in the women’s 200m, Myia Dantzler joining the top-10 indoor list at eighth-all time (25.46), while Mikayla Hutchison moved to nineth all-time (25.57).
  • Wrapping things up for the women was Abbey Mohan who jumped to 10th all-time in the women’s 800m recording a time of 2:15.35.
  • Timothy Ellis was one of three athletes who recorded a provisional qualifying mark – clearing a height of 4.98m (16-04) which also moves Ellis to fifth all-time. Also moving into the top-10 in the men’s pole vault was Kyle Yonker who recorded a mark of 4.83m (15-10) – ninth all-time. Yonkers mark is also good enough to earn him a provisional qualifying mark.
